Integrated communication campaign for the "A Heart for Science" initiative
Being enthusiastic about nature and technology has always been a core part of ZEISS’ DNA. To mark the company’s 175th anniversary, ZEISS launched "A Heart for Science" – an international initiative to encourage young people aged 12 to 18 to get into STEM subjects. But what makes this initiative so special? All employees can get involved and pass on their knowledge to the explorers of tomorrow.
With the "A Heart for Science" initiative, ZEISS is continuing to expand its commitment to introducing science and research to children and teenagers.
The initiative centers around a corporate volunteering program in which ZEISS employees worldwide can get involved, for example by giving talks at children’s enrichment programs, running workshops in schools or organizing STEM events.
Corporate volunteering
As part of the corporate volunteering program, ZEISS helps employees who want to be part of the "A Heart for Science" initiative with:
An in-depth playbook offering volunteers guidance on the initiative and outlining the process, from the idea right through to the successful implementation of the project.
The Blue Classroom, a collection of age-appropriate math, physics, chemistry and biology experiments.
An internal digital platform designed to help volunteers at ZEISS to network worldwide and undertake projects together.
A fund offering financial support for some of the activities.
Projects authorized by the "A Heart for Science" team can also be conducted during working hours
In headings and titles, the name of the initiative should be written as follows: A Heart for Science.
In body text, add quotation marks: "A Heart for Science". This will make the name stand out.
When sharing content about the initiative on social media, always use the official hashtag: #aheartforSCIENCE. Please take note of the capitalization in this hashtag.
News on TEAM ZEISS referring to the initiative or about us helping young people to get into STEM will be tagged as: A Heart for Science.
If possible, the communication should refer to the "A Heart for Science" website: www.zeiss.com/aheartforscience
